As my due date is quickly approaching we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first son Cole Anderson Cooper. I had my final doctors appointment today, still no dilatation... he is very comfortable and content in my belly I guess!
So, we now have an official game plan. I will be going in for a C-Section on Monday, September 19 at 6:45 a.m. since he is already pushing 9 + pounds (according to the ultra sound from last week) the doctors decided to let me go a few days early!! We discussed the various options of being induced vs. having a C-Section. Knowing how big he is helped us make that decision pretty quick.
We are just thrilled that he will be here in a few short days. In the meantime I am trying to find ways to occupy my time, while getting as much rest as possible.
Next time I post he will be here :).

29 Days and Counting!
We are in the final count down waiting for Cole to arrive. His nursery is pretty much done we have a few things to hang on the walls (hopefully that project will get done this weekend). It turned out really cute :), now we just need a baby in there!

Baby Shower FUN!
Saturday, August 6th was my baby shower! Hosted by my wonderful mom, mother-in-law, Auntie Jane, Ashley, Nicole, Annie and Emily. It was such a great time, so many friends and family members came to town to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Cole. We are so lucky to have so many people in our lives that love us.
Here are a few pictures from the shower:

Cole's Nursery
While I was gone Todd was hard at work getting Cole's nursery ready. He painted the walls, base boards and all the trim in the room. Then replaced the carpet and built/configured the closet. Our furniture came in from PB Kids so he put that all together. I was so excited to see it when I got home. He worked so hard while I was gone!! We are unsure of the furniture configuration, so it might be getting moved around. Now I get to have all the fun adding the decorative details!! Of course I couldn't wait to put the bedding on the crib so here is a sneak peak of our work in progress...
He already is being spoiled by his Aunt Nicole! She sent this darling chair :)
Family Time
I just got back from a two week adventure in Kansas. It was the last hooray before baby Cole comes. It was great spending time with Mom, Dad and Graham. I spent most of my days at Buster's helping out in the restaurant. I also had plenty of time to rest which was so nice, I'm trying to get as much as possible while I can :)!
On Sunday, July 10th we headed to Oklahoma for a short little vaca before I headed back to FL. We spent Sunday-Tuesday at Quartz Mountain a beautiful lake resort that has a lodge as well as cabins on the lake. We stayed in a little cabin on the lake, it was kind of like camping out but we made the best of it!!

School Baby Shower
A few weeks ago my wonderful Kindergarten team hosted a joint baby shower for the two pregnant K teachers!! It was so much fun and a wonderful way to celebrate two new babies that will be joining us in September. Emily and I are 1 week apart...SO FUN!!
We even had fun games to play. One team member from each grade level was selected to compete in the baby bottle chugging contest, it was so funny!

We are both having boys so everything was blue. Meghan and Lisa made yummy cupcakes and everyone else contributed delicious food!
My wonderful K team did such a nice job helping Emily and I celebrate our baby boys. I am going to miss everyone so much next year, but I know that once Cole gets here my decision to stay home will be all worth while :)!!
