School Baby Shower

A few weeks ago my wonderful Kindergarten team hosted a joint baby shower for the two pregnant K teachers!!  It was so much fun and a wonderful way to celebrate two new babies that will be joining us in September.  Emily and I are 1 week apart...SO FUN!!

We are both having boys so everything was blue.  Meghan and Lisa made yummy cupcakes and everyone else contributed delicious food!

We even had fun games to play.  One team member from each grade level was selected to compete in the baby bottle chugging contest, it was so funny!

My wonderful K team did such a nice job helping Emily and I celebrate our baby boys.  I am going to miss everyone so much next year, but I know that once Cole gets here my decision to stay home will be all worth while :)!!

Cole Anderson Cooper

We have decided on a name!  Cole Anderson Cooper :).  This is the name that we kept going back to, so it's official this will be our sweet baby boy's name!  The symbolism behind the name is meaningful to both Todd and I as it's both our Mom's maiden names.

Todd and I hosted Sunday supper yesterday so we decided we would announce it to his family then.  Of course I sent a picture to my parents before the Cooper's arrived.  This is how we did it...
I made rice krispy treats and used baby shaped cookie cutters then decorated them with his name and monogram!

We also started working on moving the office into one of the spare bedrooms so we could begin working on Cole's nursery.  Paint color has been picked and I can't wait to start getting his nursery going!!  Pics to come soon :).

It's a BOY!!

It is official we are having a little boy!  We couldn't be more excited.  The doctor says everything looks great, he is growing and healthy in every way.  I am still feeling great and my belly is getting bigger by the day.  We registerd this past weekend for all of our baby gear and it was so fun!!

On another exciting note we are awaiting the arrival of our nephew Caleb.  Ashley was induced today and we are just waiting for his arrival!!  Ash is in wonderful spirits and doing great.

Next time I post I will be an aunt :)!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter yesterday with family. Todd and I hosted a fun filled afternoon at our house, we had tons of food, great company and a Easter egg hunt for Carson and Jack. It's so exciting to think that this time next year we will have a little one to celebrate with, he/she will be too little to hunt for eggs but it will be fun to make a Easter basket and start new traditions.
Here are a few pictures:

New Beginnings!

As we get ready for our new addition we are starting to move around furniture in our house.  My parents came down a month ago and took the rest of their stuff that was still in the house, as nice as that was it left us with some empty space.  We have been moving stuff around trying to fill a large space with very small random pieces of furniture.  Yesterday we got a very exciting phone call from Momma Cooper saying that she had purchased a brand new living room set for their house! So we now have their living room furniture in our living room and it looks amazing!!  Thank you, thank you! Take a peek, it really opened up the living room and makes the space look huge.  Our next home decorating project will be the nursery, but not until after May 9th when we find out if it will be blue or pink :)!!

And Then There were Three...

We are having a baby!!! After just a few months of being newlyweds we will soon be parents and we couldn't be more excited.  Our little one will be arriving in September, my actual due date is September 24th.  My last doctor’s appointment was 3 weeks ago (12 weeks) and the doctor said everything looked great.   We got to see our little peanut moving around in there like crazy!!  So far everything has been smooth sailing; I'm through my first trimester and starting to get a little bit of a bump.

Here are some pictures from the 12 week sonogram.  Our sonogram tech thinks that she saw a little boy part in there, so we might be continuing the Cooper Boy tradition, but we will see!

Our next appointment (19/20 weeks) we will get to find out the definite gender!!  I am going to try and keep our blog updated as much as possible!
